Off to a rough start?

3 January 2020|

Over the holidays, while most people were celebrating and enjoying a feast, storms and earthquakes hit the islands. On the other side of the world, there’d been bushfires which burned vast lands affecting homes of people and wildlife. We spend a moment to remember all these occurrences–the current ones and all that happened throughout in year that passed. Is this strange climate change going to be the new norm?

While we’re at it, we think about our children’s future, the staggering price hike and grey politics that await us. Tough, complicated things to ponder on. We’ve left 2019, but it seems we carried with us all its mess. And some of us are not even done kon mari-ing the household.

We’ll get through this, won’t we? We always do. We always manage to serve something edible, which sometimes even turns out good despite our rough schedules, piled up chores, and impossible deadlines. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

Here’s something fresh and comforting to help us get through a rough start. Happy New Year!
