Mama Sita Foundation representatives, together with the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, recently donated culinary books to Vancouver Public Library.

Consul General Neil Ferrer joined Mama Sita’s Foundation delegates, Ms. Rosalinda Luis MacDougall and her family, in the turnover ceremony of the following cookbooks: (1) Mama Sita’s Lutong Bahay Cookbook, (2) Mama Sita’s Homestyle Recipes Cookbook, and (3) Discover Mama Sita’s Flavors of the Philippine Islands Cookbook.

VPL’s Chief Librarian Ms. Sandra Singh and Manager of Collections Ms. Chris Middlemass acknowledged Mama Sita’s generosity and also welcomed future partnerships with the Consulate and Cultural exchanges through publications and book contributions in the Philippines.

On the other side, Consul General Ferrer emphasized the importance of promoting Filipino cuisine in a Canadian Society, where Filipinos are the fastest growing ethnic group among immigrants in the past four years.
